Annual Hurricane Preparedness Event

On Monday, May 9th WGZM hosted a "2022 Hurricane Preparedness Seminar" in our very own Waveland Room starting at 10am. This informative seminar highlighted actions that coast residents can take to stay safe during hurricane season. We heard valuable information from several recognized professionals, such as Mississippi Emergency Management Agency and Hancock County, MS Emergency Operations Center. Updated free handouts will continue to be available for pick up at WGZM. These annual hurricane preparedness days are a chance to network with these experts and learn how you can be more prepared for the 2022 hurricane season!

The museum hosted this seminar as part of our mission to inform and educate on hurricanes. Our Museum Board and staff feel this type program is a major part of our responsibility and plan to make this an annual event!
